Appointments and Fees

Medicare Rebates​

• You don’t need a referral to see a psychologist, but a referral from a GP, Psychiatrist, or Paediatrician is required for Medicare rebates.

• Mental Health Care Plan: Up to 10 sessions per calendar year, with rebates up to $98.95 per session.

• Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC): For chronic or complex conditions. Up to 5 sessions per year, rebate of $61.80 per session.

 

Veterans (DVA Services)

• If you hold a DVA Health Card (Gold, White, or Orange), you may be eligible for fully funded sessions.

• Referral needed from your GP or specialist. Sessions are billed directly to DVA.

 

Pregnancy Support Counselling

• Available under Medicare for those who are pregnant or were pregnant in the past 12 months (including full-term, part-term, or terminations).

• Eligible clients can receive 3 sessions per pregnancy with a GP referral.

 

Private Health Insurance

• No referral needed.

• Rebates vary based on your level of cover — please check with your insurer.

 

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

• mbmpsychology is an approved EAP provider.

• You may be eligible for free sessions through your workplace. Contact us to find out more.

 

Payments

• Payment is due at the time of your session.

• We accept cash, EFTPOS, and credit card.

 

Cancellations

• You’ll receive an SMS reminder before your session.

• Please notify us as early as possible if you need to cancel to avoid a cancellation fee.

• Convenient, flexible options available — no travel required.
